SAFETY
1. To restrict the speed of the ball once hit into play the bats are restricted to ASA (now USA), and or Senior Softball USA guidelines and must be in marked ASA, or USA Softball or Senior Softball USA approved and / or marked BPF 1.21 or less. Softballs must be 52 COR 300 compression (52/300).
2. To avoid collisions, runner cannot be tagged at home plate. Two home plates are used, one for batting and the other for scoring which is 10 ft to the side of the batting home plate.
3. To encourage less muscle-pull related injuries while running to first base, substitute runners are permitted to run to first for the batter and continue as they reach any base.
4. Protective pitcher screens must be used and placed in such a manner that the pitcher can go behind the screen after the release of the pitch.
5. Runners are not allowed to steal a base
